About Me

Hi there!

I started this blog as a way to reflect on what I’ve been learning and share insights with you. This is a place for us to learn and grow together.

I’m interested in learning both about myself and how the world works. For my personal development, I’m interested in self-reflection, building a life of purpose, intentionality, and goal setting. I’m also fascinated by the world and society, and believe that the more we understand the world, the more empathy we’ll have for others.

I am not an expert. I am learning alongside you and simply sharing what resonates with me. I will try my best to provide links to additional resources for you to continue your learning, if something sparks your interest.

As for most things, I believe context is important and I understand that my personal experiences have shaped who I am and how I see the world. I am a white woman from Canada who grew up in a middle-class household, and have spent most of my life living as an immigrant, both in the USA and further abroad in Asia. I know that my privilege affects how I experience the world, and has impacted both my conscious and unconscious biases. But I am working to decolonize my mind and become anti-racist. However, I am still human and a work in progress.

As the brilliant Maya Angelou said, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.” And that is my intention.
